Erin Trent-Johnson

Erin brings nearly two decades of experience in leadership development. As a Transformational Leadership Coach, she integrates trauma-informed, cultural and politicized somatics, storytelling, and group action methodologies to help leaders remain grounded in their deep inner resources and become safe enough to play and dream while facing systemic challenges.

Erin supports leaders and teams to build the capacity to see unseen possibilities and reclaim their intuition. As a coach, mentor, and facilitator, she has guided hundreds of leaders to access inner authority and skillfully navigate conflict. Her work bridges tools from ancient wisdom and liberatory traditions, weaving experience in politics, movement organizing, mindfulness, expressive arts, and healing justice lineages to create spaces where leaders can access their power while building bridges toward collective vision.

Specializing in supporting leaders to develop a responsive relationship with complex change, Erin's expertise spans non-profit, government, education, philanthropy, and corporate environments, with particular attention to women of color in executive positions navigating unique intersectional challenges. Her coaching practice centers on helping leaders embody courage, access resilience, and trust their intuition.

As creator of BlackMamaBody experiences, Erin holds creative healing and play spaces integrating trauma-informed spiritual somatic practice and expressive arts to support women of color leaders in accessing their authenticity and power in service of their liberation from oppressive relationships with their time and labor.

A fourth-generation Philadelphian, Erin brings her experience as a poet and family historian to her work. She holds a Bachelor's in Political Science from Hampton University and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
